Connect Salesforce to Email Calculator
Follow this step-by-step guide to integrate your Salesforce account and start analyzing your email campaigns
Step 1: Get Your Salesforce Marketing Cloud API Key
- Log in to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account
- Navigate to Settings or Account Settings
- Look for API Keys, Integrations, or Developer section
- Click Create API Key or Generate New Key
- Name it "Email Calculator" for easy identification
- Copy your API key securely
Security Note: Keep your API key secure. Never share it publicly or commit it to version control.
Step 2: Connect to Email Calculator
- Go to your Email Calculator Settings page
- Find the API Integrations section
- Click Connect Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Paste your API Key
- Click Verify & Save
- You'll see a confirmation message when connected successfully
What we access: We only request read-only access to your campaign data and metrics. We never send emails or modify your campaigns.
Step 3: Create Your First Report
- Navigate to your Dashboard
- Click New Report
- Select Salesforce Marketing Cloud as your data source
- Choose your date range (last 7, 30, or 90 days)
- Select the campaigns you want to analyze
- Click Generate Report

Common Questions
Why isn't my API key working?
Double-check that you've copied the complete API key without any extra spaces. Ensure the key has read permissions for campaign and statistics data. If issues persist, try generating a new API key in your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account.
Why don't I see any campaigns or data?
Make sure you have sent campaigns within your selected date range. Some platforms may take a few minutes to update their API data after sending. Also verify that your API key has the correct permissions to access campaign statistics.
What if I'm getting timeout or rate limit errors?
Most email platforms have API rate limits to protect their servers. If you're experiencing timeouts, try selecting a shorter date range or wait a few minutes before generating another report. For large accounts with many campaigns, consider breaking your analysis into smaller time periods.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We only request read-only access to your campaign statistics. We never have permission to send emails, modify campaigns, or access subscriber personal data. Your API key is encrypted and stored securely. You can revoke access at any time from your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account.
Can I disconnect my account later?
Absolutely. You can disconnect your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account anytime from your Email Calculator settings page. Simply remove the integration and your API key will be deleted from our system. You can also revoke the API key directly in your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account.
