An email IP warmup plan is a documented schedule for ramping up send volume on a new or dormant dedicated IP address. Because a new IP has no sending history, mailbox providers are initially suspicious of it. The plan specifies how many messages to send each day, to which subscribers, and over what timeline, so the IP builds a positive sender reputation without being flagged as a spam source.
How It Works
The plan typically follows a staged escalation over four to eight weeks:
