DKIM records are DNS TXT records that contain a public key used to verify the digital signature attached to outgoing email. The record is published at [selector]._domainkey.yourdomain.com. An DKIM lookup checks that the key is properly formatted, matches the key length expected (typically 1024 or 2048 bits), and that the selector exists. Multiple selectors allow key rotation without interrupting signing. A missing or malformed DKIM record will cause all DKIM-signed email to fail authentication checks.
